I'm pretty sure from looking at pictures that the model used is a Pyrex timer. Can anyone confirm this? The kitchen timers used onboard the shuttle are made by Component Design Northwest, Inc. Where on this planet can one cook an egg in 3 minutes? How did these non-sensical gadgets get started and why do they continue to be called what they are? Even an egg at room temp is an unapetizing mess after only 3 minutes in boiling water at sea level. Out of the fridge, it takes more than 5 minutes to cook it

That was a "tea steeping" timer. Well for you tea drinkers there is a fair diff between 4 & 6 minutes. So here's the SPEC. -3 push button switches, 4,5,6 minutes. (she pushes either). -Brief pleasant audio annuciation at time out. -AA battery powered. -ultra low quiscent current, if needed.

Intermittant egg timer, Word 2002
I'm looking for a little program that simulates an egg-timer on my Revo Plus... where I can set a time (say 30 mins) and it counts back to zero with an audible alarm when it is done. Does something like that exists, and if it does, where can I get it?.. -) Heh, you on hols, visiting here?

You can buy egg coddlers at china stores or department stores. They come in several patterns and cost between $25-50. Worchester makes a very pretty one. Good luck! Actually I think he/she was asking about an egg timer that was oval about 1/2-inch thick and went into the water with the eggs.

I find that about 50% of the time and *only* in IE, once the new window is lauched, if I move the mouse back over the main window, I've got the egg-timer showing as though it believes it hasn't completed the task. It doesn't even do it everytime and *appears* to happen less if I make a point of clicking really fast

The egg timer option is one which could be used wherever thinking of bringing a clock along is impractical (eg, I prefer not to bring my clock on a trip where I do not plan to play, but I may bring a small set -- carrying an egg timer would be a good contingency if I ran into another chess player in my hotel).

On C3 M4 (where you work you're way across to the amoured car) every time the ambush begins (the troops piling out of the barracks) an egg timer appears on screen and I get thrown back to the desktop.
